Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

The Janitorial Teammates ensure that the expectations of safety, cleanliness, and functionality are met throughout the facility. 

 

This is a 2nd shift position: 3pm-11:30pm. 

 

• Ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Identify potential hazards and take appropriate actions to address them.
• Respond to facility-related emergencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of facility activities and report any issues to management.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Compensation

Starting wage: $15.00/hour + Weekly Production Bonus

 

 

Production Bonus

Hourly Base Rate: $15.00 + Weekly Production Bonus (Plant Average)

Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.

Example: Hourly Base Rate = 15.00. Weekly Production Bonus = 55%. Total Hourly Rate = 23.25

 

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in janitorial/housekeeping, customer service, or general labor

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position
• Experience leading a team
