Job Overview: 

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the power system architecture and electrical design for our battery-powered, connected IoT devices in close collaboration with ODM and JDM partners. This role focuses on enabling low-power, energy-efficient systems with support for solar charging, lithium battery management, LED drivers, and I/O sensor integration. You will play a critical role in ensuring hardware quality and system reliability through every phase—from concept to mass production—by guiding partner teams and validating their output. 

Responsibilities: 

Power Architecture Design 

Define and develop power subsystems for ultra-low-power IoT devices, including solar charging, Li-ion/LiPo battery management, DC-DC converters, and power path control. 

ODM/JDM Technical Leadership 

Serve as the primary electrical engineering interface for global ODM/JDM partners.

Define requirements, review schematics/layouts, guide design decisions, and ensure delivery of production-ready hardware. 

Solar & Energy Harvesting Systems 

Design and validate solar-powered hardware, including MPPT algorithms, energy buffering, and charging circuit integration. 

Review and influence partner-sourced designs. 

Analog & Sensor Interface Design

Integrate and validate analog front ends for environmental and motion sensors using precision ADCs, filtering, and signal conditioning. 

Ensure low noise and high accuracy in sensor integration. 

LED Driver & Lighting Subsystems 

Design and validate LED control circuits (PWM or constant current) for indication or illumination. 

Ensure power efficiency and thermal safety. 

Schematic & PCB Review 

Lead schematic and layout reviews of partner-generated designs. 

Ensure compliance with electrical, thermal, and mechanical constraints.

Support partners with DFM/DFT best practices. 

Validation & System Bring-Up 

Plan and execute hardware validation across internal and partner teams.

Use lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic/power analyzers) to debug, tune, and validate performance and reliability. 

Design Documentation & Support 

Provide comprehensive design documentation including block diagrams, BOMs, test plans, and compliance strategies. 

Assist with regulatory approvals (FCC, CE, UL) through design review and lab coordination. 

 Required Qualifications 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience designing power and analog circuits for battery-operated embedded or IoT systems. 

Demonstrated experience managing or collaborating with ODM/JDM vendors throughout product development and NPI.

Strong understanding of lithium battery systems, charging circuits, and solar energy harvesting. 

Expertise with LED driver circuits, analog front ends, and low-power sensor integration.

Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD).

Skilled in debugging hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and thermal/power tools. 

Familiarity with DFM and DFT principles. 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience with outdoor, solar-powered, or remote-sensing devices. 

Knowledge of wireless modules (BLE, LTE-M, LoRa) and their impact on power design.

Familiarity with hardware revision control (ECAD Altium) and Jira-based workflows.

Exposure to EMC design practices, regulatory testing, and certification processes. 

Experience designing products for mass production and field deployment through global manufacturing partners.
