Company Description


This SQL/SSIS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining solutions for business requests to support data integration, transformation, and ETL processes using SQL and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). The SQL/SSIS Developer will collaborate internally with designated teams to understand how data requirements and benefit/plan design impact overall file requirements. They will work closely with their team lead to continuously look for areas of improvement and help to train others. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL development, has working knowledge of SSIS, and strong communication and teamworking skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Designs medium to complex SQL packages as per defined file requirements
• Translates business requirements into technical designs to map and load data from different sources
• Maintains technical documentation in line with developed packages and team standards
• Communicates open items and issues effectively to key stakeholders
• Focuses on providing quality data extractions through extensive unit testing
• Adapts to changing priorities while focusing on communicated deadlines
• Displays strong interpersonal, verbal, writing, and analytic skills
• Promotes team relationships and collaboration with their team as well as with external teams
• Implements SSIS solutions within architectural and code quality guidelines considering performance, scalability, and sustainability


KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION


• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent years of experience in computer science or completion of related boot camp program)
• Overall 3+ years of experience in developing packages, files, and/or reports using SQL
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL preferred
• Familiarity with ETL, event/error handling, auditing/logging using SSIS
• Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in SQL Server
• Domain experience in health insurance and/or benefit administration is a plus
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and team-working skills
