The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description
The Director, Segment Experiences will be responsible for leading the creation and execution of seasonal consumer events to drive incremental attendance for Universal Studios Hollywood. This position will champion events within the Marketing & Sales department and set the strategic direction for the overall campaign. Additionally, this role will lead the USH cross functional team (i.e., Entertainment, Operations, Finance, Food & Beverage, Retail, Legal, etc.) ensuring alignment across the organization for events throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and execution of Universal Studios Hollywood seasonal events (i.e, Halloween Horror Nights, Holidays, Summer) to achieve attendance and revenue targets
- Deliver strategic input and prioritization to activate marketing planning for events including the development of the Strategic Marketing Roadmap and serve as Program Champion within the Marketing & Sales team
- Facilitate communication across the Marketing & Sales department by collaborating with all groups (ie., Comms Planning, Creative, Digital, Media, Publicity, Social, and Program Management) on event campaigns
- Lead a strong cross functional team for events to ensure alignment across the USH organization
- Develop compelling presentations for upcoming events and effectively present them to internal leadership and external partners
- Track results against targets, analyze business KPIs, proactively identify risks, and evolve plans as needed while incorporating learnings into future event planning
- Leverage research data, insights analysis, and competitive benchmarking to influence and direct the development of new and innovative ideas that drive attendance and/or profitability
- Assist with the development and framework for a Long Range Event Strategy including the creation of new seasonal events with long-term potential to drive business
- Lead a high-performing team by creating an inclusive team environment that fosters energy and engagement
- Build and maintain effective relationships with peers and IP partners, identifying and resolving issues quickly
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required; majors in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or other related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant consumer-facing marketing with seasonal event planning/execution background preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant leadership experience including supervisory and budget responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with both internal and external partners to foster cross-functional teamwork and collaboration
