QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer who will take ownership of testing and quality assurance for a growing web application. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in manual testing and hands-on experience in test automation, who wants to further develop in strategic quality planning. As the first QA Engineer on the project, you’ll have a real impact on shaping the testing approach, defining strategies, and laying the groundwork for future automation. You’ll work closely with developers, the Product Owner, and the Project Manager to ensure smooth releases and continuous improvement.

🚀 Your main responsibilities:

• Define and maintain test scenarios in User Stories, working closely with the Tech Lead and developers.

• Execute test scenarios in both local and client’s development and test environments.

• Validate test results, including verification in external databases.

• Document test results and scenarios directly in User Stories.

• Report and communicate failed scenarios to developers, collaborating to identify and fix issues.

• Reproduce and verify reported bugs in multiple environments.

• Automate repetitive tasks and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Write E2E test cases for backend applications using REST APIs.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Python - ability to read, understand, and write efficient code used for test scripts, data validation, and automation support.

• Experience in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests in Python for backend applications – strong understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g. pytest, unittest).

• Experience with automation tools for end-to-end testing (Playwright, Selenium, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with SQL databases - comfortable querying, validating, and analyzing data directly from the database to support test verification.

• Good understanding of REST APIs (FastAPI preferable) – able to test endpoints, analyze responses, and validate data flow between services.

• Experience testing applications with both Frontend and Backend components - familiarity with how systems communicate and how to perform end-to-end validation of complex business processes.

• English (spoken and written) at C1 level.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (especially Azure DevOps).

• Ability to write and use scripts to automate or accelerate test processes.
