About the PositionThis position will be a key member of a dynamic and growing team, focused on corporate ESG and climate strategy. Using technical expertise and client-management skills, this client-facing position will play a pivotal part in helping global organizations improve their ESG and climate performance, reporting, and planning. You will work directly with high-level stakeholders, performing competitor analysis, materiality assessments, greenhouse gas accounting for Scopes 1, 2, and 3, and developing ESG strategy, action plans, and goals for leading organizations. As the product expert, you will also deliver onboarding and training for our award-winning ESG SaaS product, Equilibrium.

About YouYou are self-motivated, technically savvy, and passionate about sustainability and ESG. Your intellectual curiosity and attention to detail often drive your desire to know the ins and outs of any topic, product, and process you encounter. A proven presenter, you are confident, well-spoken, and able to communicate effectively at all levels. You have over two years of experience consulting or working with global organizations on ESG, sustainability, decarbonization, greenhouse gas accounting, or a related field. You have a growth mindset, continually learning and expanding your understanding of the ever-evolving ESG and climate landscape. You excel in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and are comfortable working as both an individual contributor and a team player. You have the ambition to help build a function and team from the ground up.

What To Expect In This Position:

  • Customer Success
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, leading and supporting recurring client meetings to understand their specific needs and drive project success within ESG and climate strategy
  • As the product expert, provide client onboarding and training to ensure product adoption 
  • Become a trusted advisor to our clients, working closely with the product and business development teams
  • Be a solutions expert to include demonstrating platform functionality, explaining carbon accounting and ESG reporting frameworks, continually evaluating product functionality for market fit, and advising the customer journey
  • Develop entity-wide inventories for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources
  • ESG
  • Perform competitor analyses and materiality assessments to develop ESG strategies, goals, and metrics
  • Assist clients in identifying, gathering, and reporting on data in alignment with leading ESG reporting frameworks (SASB, GRI, UNGC) and rating systems (ISS, Sustainalytics, MSCI, EcoVadis)
  • Climate
  • As a technical expert, lead efforts on GHG emissions inventories (scopes 1, 2, 3), including identifying data sources, material
  • Scope 3 categories, and most appropriate emissions factors
  • Assess and report climate risks and perform scenario planning in accordance with TCFD, CDP, SBTi, PCAF, and net zero strategies
  • Support the development of climate change strategy, action planning, modeling, and setting of science-based targets

What Sets You Apart:

  • Familiar with common ESG reporting frameworks, including GRI, SASB, CDSB, TCFD, UNGC, CDP and rating systems, including MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, EcoVadis
  • 2+ years experience in data analytics, project management, or consulting in corporate sustainability, ESG, GHG, or climate
  • Able to communicate and present effectively and professionally at the executive management level
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute on multiple projects and high-quality deliverables simultaneously with excellent time management skills and prioritization
  • Ability to work independently while embracing a close-knit, decentralized team environment 
  • Experience with greenhouse gas accounting (Scope 1, 2, 3), including selecting emissions factors
  • Familiarity with TCFD, SASB, GRI, CDP, SBTi, EU Taxonomy, CDSB, UNGC, ISS, MSCI, Susta
