Job title: Associate Human Resources Business Partner

Job Summary:
Provides support to multiple Dayton Parts locations including Harrisburg, PA in the areas of employee relations, performance management, benefits, HR compliance, process improvement and compensation. Partners with leaders and their teams to support organizational goals and objectives. Acts as a change agent and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and contributors that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Primary Duties
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation for contributors and management.
- Assist contributors with day-to-day HR inquiries; works directly with HR contributors in Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, etc. to ensure contributor questions are answered thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Stay abreast of employment laws and use that knowledge to support management in the day-to-day management of contributors.
- Support HR compliance initiatives to reduce legal risks and ensure legal compliance; partner with legal departments as needed/required
- Works collaboratively with the Operations Manager to improve business results and meet objectives.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with leaders, and the HR Operations teams to develop improved solutions, programs and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Occasional travel required.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be confident and able to handle difficult situations independently.
- Must be able to work with contributors at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Basic understanding of compensation concepts, principles, and practices required.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, case law, principles, and practices related to employee conduct, performance, and dispute resolution.
- Proficient in performance management concepts, principles, and practices related to planning, monitoring, rating, and rewarding employee performance.
- Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and practices related to employee benefit and workers compensation programs.
- Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
Education And/Or experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in a related field; PHR is preferred.
- 3+ years HR generalist experience.
- 1+ years payroll maintenance experience.

Salary: $69,900.00 - $80,000.00 per year
