Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director for Content Strategy and Operations, this experienced Director will have broad responsibility to lead monetization of the Xumo Superstore, launch new content, and ensure operational readiness of apps for new operators and devices.Success in this role will be achieved through collaborating with internal cross-functional groups, such as Business Development, Content Acquisition, Technology & Product, Legal, Video Services & Editorial, and other executive teams to create a vibrant and profitable content ecosystem. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Manage on platform Superstore merchandizing, including offers and free trials, to advance critical Xumo business goals. Coordinate implementation of offer and discount campaigns with business and deal teams.
- Track revenue and subscriber data associated with Superstore; propose enhancements based on results. Design A/B tests to optimize performance. Create revenue and cost projections as needed.
- Propose new editorial product features to drive upsell and retention; including those related to ungates and “Free this Week” program for Xumo Manage associated business requirements
- Build roadmap of content targets in partnership with Business Development, Content Acquisition, Xumo business and operator partners, and technology and product organization.
- Proactively pitch new content partners on platform opportunity and respond to incoming requests.
- Coordinate with editorial and partnerships teams to ensure an excellent partner onboarding experience that incentivizes app partners to deepen their investment in our platform.
- Ensure readiness of content for new device launches and operator expansions.
- Maintain roadmap of metadata, continue watching, and other integration priorities.
- Deliver best-in-class execution and platform experiences.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working on video and/or streaming products is highly desirable; product management background a plus.
- Experience drawing insights from data analytics and reporting; strong financial acumen to develop financial models, project impacts of new capabilities and strategic decisions, and assess results.
- Advanced communication skills to paint the bigger picture for all our partners and stakeholders across the company, evangelizing the importance of new opportunities, and driving initiatives from inception, through development, go-to-market readiness, and deployment.
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with external partners.
- Passion for understanding content ecosystem and consumer content interests.
- Capacity to drive results in a highly matrixed organization with the passion and energy to advocate for change.
