About the role

JOB SUMMARYReporting to the HR Director, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is a key contributor to employee lifecycle activities and is responsible for working with hiring managers to plan, develop, and manage the talent acquisition and retention processes and strategies related to such activities. This role supports Mark Andy’s commitment to recruit, hire, retain, and develop the most talented leaders and employees.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Effectively develops and implements successful recruitment strategies for all positions from entry level hourly to exempt executives.
  • Creates and maintains effective job descriptions and posts ads for positions across external and internal job boards.
  • Sources, reviews, and summarizes resumes for hiring manager review; Assists with interview scheduling. 
  • Administers and updates the applicant tracking system.
  • Develops, coordinates, and facilitates new hire orientation and the onboarding program.
  • Analyzes talent data to identify turnover trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement; work with management to address issues proactively.
  • Leads the administration of the Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Coordinates and performs exit interviews.
  • Attends job fairs and develops recruiting relationships with staffing companies and external recruiters.
  • Completes monthly headcount report and other reports as needed.
  • Manages background and drug testing program.
  • Participates in the planning and preparation of employee engagement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop solid relationships with peers and management.
  • Aptitude for problem solving and thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or equivalent
  • Two to five years of human resource generalist experience.
  • Five years of recruiting experience at all organizational levels.
  • Human resources experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • This is a HYBRID position. Regular onsite attendance required for certain duties as applicable.
