Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor Estimator to join our commercial fencing company. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in estimates and a strong background in commercial fencing projects. As a Supervisor Estimator, you will manage a team of estimators, oversee the estimation process, and ensure accurate and competitive bids are submitted. This role requires excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor a team of estimators, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, challenges, and improvements.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
2. Estimation Process Management:
• Oversee the entire estimation process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
• Review and approve estimates prepared by the team, ensuring they meet company standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
3. Bid Preparation and Submission:
• Prepare detailed and competitive bids for commercial fencing projects, including labor, materials, and other costs.
• Ensure all bids are submitted on time and in accordance with client specifications.
• Maintain a database of past bids and outcomes for reference and continuous improvement.
4. Client Relations:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits to gather information and discuss project requirements.
• Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
5. Project Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to develop accurate estimates.
• Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare regular reports on estimation activities, bid success rates, and team performance.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify areas for improvement in the estimation process and implement best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and construction methods.
• Promote innovation and efficiency within the estimation team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 6-10 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in the commercial fencing industry.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
- May be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone, along with other general office equipment.
- Close vision abilities required due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting/carrying of 25 lbs may be required.
- Reaching overhead or below.
- Work environment may include being able to tolerate moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phones, printers, light traffic)
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
