In this role as a Software Engineer Manager, you will manage at least 2 strong scrum teams comprising of software engineers and quality engineers. Along with being a mentor and a driving force to your teams you will be partnering with Product Owners, other Software Engineering Managers and Architects to deliver on company initiatives. You will report into Director of Engineering, with whom you will partner on defining the technical vision and direction of each group. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of development experience.
• 2+ years of management experience with full time Software Engineers
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and microservices
• A good understanding of web technologies, UI frameworks and event-driven architectures
• Experience in building teams; manage, mentor and coach to grow their careers
• Good knowledge on tracking and setting goals to improve quality and efficiency
• Great communication skills

Nice to have skills

• Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes, Jenkins
• Experience with relational databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

(California Only) Pursuant to applicable law, SquareTrade estimates the possible compensation for this role, if hired in California, to be within the following range: $190K - $210K.
