Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Project Management Specialist (Level 4 or 5) supporting the P-8 Program in Tukwila, WA.

The position is a key member of the P-8 Production Program Management Team  and is responsible for integrating production execution activities across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure successful delivery of P-8 aircraft to U.S. Navy and international customers. The selected candidate will play a critical role in driving production performance, assessing delivery risks and opportunities, supporting customer commitments, and leading cross-functional efforts to resolve complex issues impacting cost, schedule, quality, and delivery performance. This role requires frequent interaction with senior program leadership, factory leadership, functional organizations, and customers and demands strong business acumen, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents the P-8 Production Program in customer, executive, and production operating rhythm forums, communicating program status, risks, recovery actions, and delivery commitments.
  • Leads cross-functional efforts across Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer organizations to ensure alignment of program priorities and execution plans.
  • Drives resolution of complex production, quality, engineering, supplier, and schedule issues affecting aircraft delivery performance.
  • Develops and executes integrated plans to achieve production, delivery, and customer commitment objectives while actively managing program risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Integrates and analyzes program execution data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Develops executive-level briefings, status reports, recovery plans, and decision-support materials supporting program execution and strategic decision making.
  • Facilitates execution reviews and drives accountability for actions supporting production and delivery performance.
  • Leads special projects and strategic initiatives that improve production stability, affordability, and operational excellence.
  • Provides leadership and influence across cross-functional teams to drive alignment, accountability, and successful execution of program commitments.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
  • 3+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
  • 3+ years of experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations
  • Experience in program or project management with significant emphasis on risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) management for cross-functional programs
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives
  • Experience working with Military or DoD customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Technical knowledge of the P-8 Poseidon aircraft
  • Experience using Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience building positive relationships with military leadership, government officials, and supplier leadership
  • Demonstrated technical and operational problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated critical-business and financial acumen
  • Experience developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership
  • Active clearance is preferred
  • Level 4 & 5: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
