Summary
The Technical Support Specialist supports the daily operations for PC and PC-related hardware/software issues for the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to incoming phone calls and emails from internal and external clients, and assist them with Level One support.
- Work closely with other IT personnel to resolve system and network issues
- Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of simple and complex PC problems for a variety of end users and escalates as needed
- Assist in supporting the following technologies: video conferencing, telecommunications, LANs and WANs
- Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor
- Performs other duties as directed

- Excellent implementation and support of the theory and practices of operation systems, application software, and other information technology systems

- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving ability
- Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10/11 (Desktop Administration) and Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Teams)
- Knowledge of mobile computing technology (smart phones, tablets, mobile computers, etc.)
- Understanding of networking technologies and physical network cabling and troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose software and hardware issues and make necessary repairs
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Related Field
- 2 + years of Information Technology Support experience
- CompTIA A+ Certification or ability to acquire within three months of employment
