How You'll Make an Impact:
Oversee critical teams supporting Online Ordering including:
- The cloud services team which develops and supports the services and APIs which run the ordering platform.
- the Digital Operations team which monitors the online ordering system, investigates and resolves issues, and ensures rollouts are successful.
- The UX/Analysis team which is responsible for User Experience research, UX design and analyzing the performance of our online ordering platform from a customer and technology perspective.
Plan, coordinate and supervise activities related to the development and support for both existing and new software applications using both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile software development lifecycle methodologies across technical tracks which are part of Little Caesars Online Ordering platform. Oversee teams responsible for the development and maintenance of the online ordering platform. Work with and guide team leaders to create and improve processes and methods. Provide direction, leadership, and professional development to highly skilled directors, managers and architects. Define and propose changes to the IT Strategy and road map to the VP, E-Commerce and deliver business value through guiding the evolution our applications.
Oversight and Management Functions:
- Oversee and lead multiple teams responsible for the e-commerce platform.
- Develop and maintain a flexible and accountable teams that delivers high quality in the promised timelines. Guide team leaders to properly balance ongoing support, technical debt and new features/projects within the team.
- Apply traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach in the right proportions to fit large, complex, mission critical enterprise development projects.
- Recruit, direct, coach and motivate leaders in the development team such as leads, managers and architects, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Grow leaders within the teams.
- Performs the managerial functions necessary to organize and maintain all assigned e-commerce development teams. Coach team leaders through processes such as hiring, terminating, and evaluating colleagues in order to meet company system objectives.
- Develop and maintain resource plans including both internal and third party resources to meet the delivery requirements for the teams’ portfolio of projects. Establish, direct and maintain relationships with third party development vendors, contractors and consultants. Assign resources across teams to projects and teams to ensure success and support career growth of colleagues.
- Take part in project reviews for projects belonging to other directors on the e-commerce team and other teams. Use your breadth of knowledge of current and upcoming initiatives in the IT department to identify issues and offer recommendations these colleagues.
Team Ownership
- Oversee the e-commerce services team responsible for the services and APIs which run the ordering platform. This team is focused on .Net Core microservice development.
- Oversee the e-commerce Level 2 help-desk which supports e-commerce tickets escalated from the primary help-desk. Ensure this team is acting both reactively to customer issues and proactively by identifying potential issues through trends and data.
- Oversee the UX/Analysis team. Set strategic direction for the UX team focusing on user-testing and data-driven design and ongoing improvements which make the Little Caesars applications best in class. Set strategic direction for the Analysis team focusing on driving increased value and actionable insight.
Product Management
- In conjunction with the VP of E-Commerce, develop the IT Strategy and medium and long term road map for the e-commerce platform based on strategic goals set by the executive team. Ensure the alignment of work activities with the strategy. Translate medium-term and long-term vision into actionable goals for team.
- Work closely with Business Directors, Business VPs, and IT and business leadership on prioritizing and estimating projects that make up the road map.
- Ensure coordination of all e-commerce projects to identify and, when possible, eliminate dependencies and risks. Focus on the “big picture” to ensure that all projects that impact e-commerce accomplish their goals without unforeseen consequences.
