Department Overview

PG&E’s Underground Regional Delivery organization is working to reduce wildfire risk each day as we underground 10,000 miles of distribution lines. We are responsible for working across all internal teams and engaging external stakeholders to support successfully meeting our goals and reducing wildfire risk in our hometowns. We work in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

 

Position Summary

Oversees construction and improvement projects in the electric distribution  system. Identifies contract worthy projects, consults on project feasibility and project site details, coordinates with construction crews, oversees project inspectors, and on a project specific basis performs construction oversight. Prepares job packages and construction estimates, conducts job walks, and meets with bidders, contractors, and governing agencies. Ensures projects are completed per company standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits and schedule.

• This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

CA Minimum: $97,000
CA Maximum: $154,000

Bay Minimum: $102,000
Bay Maximum: $162,000

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 
 

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Applies advanced knowledge of professional and technical concepts to projects in multiple disciplines such as civil, electrical, process instrumentation and pipeline construction management.
• Attends job scope walk downs w/PG&E Engineers and Project Managers, leads job scope discussions with Gas Operation Supervisors, conducts preliminary job site visits, solicits input on the constructability and contractibility of proposed projects. Interprets, designs, and writes work
• specific scope documentation and contributes to the decision-making process with Project Managers and M&C Supervisors related to contract work.<
