The Opportunity 

 

 

A vacancy has arisen for a Production Team Lead in Mooresville, IN. This is a permanent position and will report to the Production Manager

As the Extrusion Supervisor, you will lead the extrusion department by enforcing company policies, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring operational excellence. You will oversee the transition of products from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to company standards. A critical part of your role includes maintaining a strong focus on safety protocols and product quality, ensuring that all processes meet regulatory and internal requirements. You will be responsible for promoting a clean, safe work environment and driving continuous improvement in both performance and compliance.

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Assign team members tasks to complete each shift, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Set performance metrics for team members and collaborate to ensure all metrics are met, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Resolve problems and troubleshoot issues promptly, prioritizing safety and quality without the need for management direction.
  • Manage multiple projects and staff members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality guidelines.
  • Report to the Production Manager and meet with management to review goals, metrics, and safety and quality performance.
  • Maintain a work environment that meets company, state, and federal safety and employment guidelines.
  • Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Oversee timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Utilize ADP software for payroll, timekeeping, and attendance management.
  • Conduct regular employee reviews, providing feedback and setting development goals.
  • Foster employee development through training.

 

The Skills you will bring to the team 

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Engineering degree preferred.
  • 5–8 years of manufacturing and leadership experience, with strong knowledge of food processing and proven ability to influence and lead teams.
  • Proven experience developing SOPs and work instructions in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, safety, and labor regulations.
