What you’ll do
The Assembly Production Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading a section within a department aligning experience and knowledge to Scout’s principles to achieve production and cost targets. The Assembly Production Supervisor will drive the culture and processes to promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and delivery. This position will work for the department manager to maximize overall quality and efficiency through involvement of the workforce.

- Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements.
- Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts.
- You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, achieve throughput and cost targets, and maintain high team morale.
- Champion a culture of inclusivity and respect to prioritize the well-being of all team members.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
- Monitor employee work performance and prepare performance reviews to provide continuous feedback.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance work operations/processes, product quality, increase throughput, and meet cost targets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues working with internal/external departments for comprehensive solutions.
- Coordinate and oversee all activities to achieve key business metrics, while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
- Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members and management teams.
- Highly committed to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 2+ years of professional experience in automotive production, with expertise in achieving stable production processes and in-depth knowledge of Assembly operations
- 3+ years of progressive experience leading and building teams
- Ability to Diagnose electrical defects
- Familiarity with the electrical architecture is a plus
- Ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships and navigate organizational complexity
