The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance, developing tooling, and implementing best practices to ensure our AWS infrastructure is reliable, secure, and optimized for performance and cost. This role will require a deep understanding of AWS services, extensive hands-on experience, the ability to mentor peers and collaborate across cross-functional teams, and the passion for driving complex projects to completion.<br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement solutions and patterns in AWS to be leveraged by various product engineering teams.</li> <li>Drive cloud initiatives spanning functional areas such as account management and governance, security, cost optimization, modernization, and reliability/performance.</li> <li>Enhance current processes for account management/organization, provisioning, and governance.</li> <li>Work with product teams to identify cost optimization opportunities and provide guidance on execution.</li> <li>Participate in technical committees involved in standardizing public cloud best practices.</li> <li>Assist in developing and executing security initiatives (e.g., SSO).</li> <li>Consult and collaborate with development teams to ensure products adhere to cloud best practices.</li> <li>Drive governance initiatives (e.g., IAM SCPs and similar guardrails).</li> <li>Provide guidance and solutions in implementing service availability and performance monitoring.</li> <li>Effectively communicate and collaborate with infrastructure, product, and security teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>You thrive in a team environment but are an independent self-starter. You require minimal supervision, are self-accountable, possess the grit required to lead or execute projects, and can adapt to changing requirements.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a distributed team environment.</li> <li>Ability to communicate at a high level with senior management.</li> <li>Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience, esp. given vague or limited information.</li> <li>Strong focus on security principles and best practices in AWS.</li> <li>Experience architecting solutions for AWS.</li> <li>AWS networking fundamentals.</li> <li>Experience optimizing cost using common AWS tools.</li> <li>Experience with IaC tooling such as CloudFormation or Terraform.</li> <li>5+ years’ experience with core AWS services, including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, SSM, Lambda, Organizations, Identity Management, and networking services.</li> <li>Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.</li> <li>Prior experience mentoring junior cloud engineers.</li> <li>5+ years’ experience working with common Linux distributions (e.g., Centos, Debian, etc.).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working knowledge or certification in the following areas are a big plus:</strong></p> <ul> <li>AWS Certification</li> <li>AWS Control Tower</li> <li>Databases such as Aurora RDS, MySQL or PostgreSQL</li> <li>Container technologies such as Docker</li> <li>Experience with CI/CD tooling.</li> <li>Object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience</li> </ul><p>Join the Kaseya growth rocket ship and see how we are #
