Meet the team:
Join the Dexcom San Diego Facilities Operations team where you will work closely with Manufacturing Operators and Innovators to provide support and maintain daily operations and repairs of the physical facility and related equipment.
Where you come in:
- You will perform building maintenance and repair functions to ensure operation and aesthetics of site facilities/leased properties.
- You will conduct regular frequency inspections of building and equipment for normal operation, and general upkeep.
- You will perform facilities preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
- You will respond to everyday needs of facilities through work order requests and complete work in a prompt, safe, and professional manner.
- You will provide facilities support for site activities and customer service requests as assigned.
- You will utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to log and manage work performed.
- You will possess proficient knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance. You will maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, and working order.
- You will operate department vehicles and be responsible for its safe operation and report any observed maintenance needs.
What makes you successful:
- Possessing proficient knowledge and experience of related work in such areas as but not limited to –
- Drywall/plaster repair and painting,
- Furniture assembly and relocation,
- Minor electrical repair - changing lights and/or fixtures,
- Plumbing repairs replacements and installation,
- Carpentry repairs and installations,
- And refrigeration maintenance, and alteration of buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Having proficiency with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) work order system.
- Having proficient knowledge of MS Office applications such as but not limited to –
- Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Having proficient knowledge of proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job functions.
- Possessing and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Being able to build and maintain relationships by demonstrating and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Being able to work long hours, holiday, and weekends as necessary.
- Being able to work shifts other than normal business hours to include weekends – as necessary/assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements: (this section should not be modified)
- Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience and a High School Diploma/ certificate or equivalent
Language Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.
