Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications within the APS program. This role requires a technical and operations background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a SAFe Agile environment. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of software solutions to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in detecting and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse within government-sponsored health programs.
Day to Day work Responsibilities:
- Facilitates and leads the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) effort by conveying the agile vision to a Kanban delivery team.
- Serve as liaisons between the product owner, O&M team, cross functional teams, and management to ensure all targets and requirements are included in the release.
- Outlining and prioritizing work based on program initiatives and business value.
- Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery to ensure the release is developed by the deadline and within budget
- Maintain product backlog and facilitate productivity by removing impediments, resolving conflicts, and constantly seeking efficient and effective process improvement.
- Preserves flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes.
- Ensure process standardization of all Scrum events to include but not limited to: Sprint Planning Meetings, Daily Stand-up Meetings, Reviews and Retrospectives.
- Responsible for the business aspects of the project, including ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline.
- Serves as the Agile or Scrum delivery team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters within the program to share knowledge and best practices.
- Experience with teaching technical teams basic to advanced Agile concepts including Epic and User Story creation, Scrum, best practices and tools.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- CSM / SAFe certified
- Experienced Scrum Master with in-depth knowledge of delivering projects/tasks to the Customer.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- ServiceNow and/or JIRA Ticketing systems experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with creating dashboards and/or metrics with Jira/Confluence.
- Knowledge of Data Analysis / Analytics tools, database development and queries and data quality / integrity reporting
- Knowledge of AWS or AWS GovCloud & native AWS administrative tools and dashboards.
- Experience with Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) or other Federal Healthcare Programs
- Strong Leadership and communication skills.

Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Apply for this role
