What is the job about?

 

 The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for supporting the US tax accounting activities by preparing direct income tax related compliance task and by supporting the US tax manager with other US tax tasks while ensuring that Grundfos is tax compliant within the areas of transfer pricing, corporate income tax and indirect tax. This is achieved by developing and executing initiatives, activities and guidelines to support the compliance processes. It is to be secured that taxes are duly considered when business decisions are made. This is done by supporting the Grundfos business in this process to reduce/minimize the global tax risk exposure as well as reducing the tax cost where appropriate. This position reports directly to the Head of Tax (part of Group Finance) and will work closely together with the US Tax Manager and will collaborate with the finance controller, sale and service organizations to advise and secure tax compliance. Further, there will be a work relationship with external advisors when during the tax return preparation process. This role will work on a hybrid schedule out of the Brookshire, Texas facility.  Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support from Grundfos now and in the future.

Your main responsibilities:  

• Prepare quarterly federal and state income tax provision.
• Year-end tax accounting
• Prepare journal entries related to tax as part of month end and quarter end close.
• Prepare estimated federal, state and franchise tax estimated payments.
• Monitor and maintain the tax compliance calendar.
• Prepare book/tax differences for estimate, provision, and tax return
• Maintain the tax basis balance sheet.
• Assist with tax audits.
• Assist in Ad Valorem/Property taxes, transactional, indirect taxes and any other tax issues.
• Conduct tax research using online tools and resources.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

 

We imagine that you have:   

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on accounting, tax or related discipline. Additionally, have a minimum of 1-3 years experience in tax compliance and income tax accounting experience gained through working in a public company or accounting firm.

• Knowledge and experience with accounting for income taxes
• Strong Excel skills
