Security Engineer

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for cybersecurity and a strong understanding of modern threat landscapes.</p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Objectives of this Role</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Develop a deep understanding of company systems, products, and security requirements.</li> <li>Evaluate existing security protocols and identify areas for improvement.</li> <li>Design and implement security solutions that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring rapid mitigation and recovery.</li> <li>Educate and guide teams on security best practices and emerging threats.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Lead the execution of security projects, including risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.</li> <li>Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.</li> <li>Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into system architecture and software development lifecycles.</li> <li>Monitor security tools and logs to detect and respond to threats in real time.</li> <li>Stay current with industry trends, threat intelligence, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).</li> <li>Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Required Skills and Qualifications</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>+7 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related engineering field.</li> <li>Strong understanding of network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.</li> <li>Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.</li> <li>Proven ability to analyze and respond to security incidents.</li> <li>Strong focus on risk management and compliance.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Preferred Skills and Qualifications</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Engineering.</li> <li>Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP.</li> <li>Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).</li> <li>Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure coding principles.</li> <li>Strong project management and communication skills.</li> </ul><p> </p> <p><span><b><span>D&amp;I Statement</span></b></span></p> <p><br/> <span>At Barco, innovation drives everything we do.
