Clinical Research Coordinator BJob Description Summary
This position's primary function is to facilitate, promote, and ensure good clinical practice in the conduct of all research protocols in the Department/Center. Independently manages different phases of complex clinical trials and mentors coordinators and research assistants. Works with partnering institutions and creates multi-center budgets and manages expenses. Participates in study team meetings, disease site group meetings, and ongoing protocol training/compliance meetings. Supports in the monitoring of external sites and assists in the management of multisite trials.Job Description
Works closely with the Research Project Manager and Principal Investigator to manage and participate in recruitment, data collection, data management, and data analysis. Obtains informed consent; conducts interviews and follow-up with study participants as needed. Coordinates and conducts quality control and compliance in keeping with study protocols and under the direction of the Project Manager and PI. Coordinates data management for the research protocol working in collaboration with the research team. Prepares reports and assists with drafting abstracts and articles for publication.
Job Responsibilities
1) Subject Recruitment, Interviews & Consent Process – Coordinates subject recruitment and screening; obtains informed consent; conducts interviews and follow-up as needed.
- Coordinates the recruitment and eligibility screening of subjects into the research studies in collaboration with the research team.
- Obtains informed consent, tracks and monitors screening and enrollment process.
- Conducts interviews with subjects at local UPHS hospitals or over the phone according to established protocols and follow up as needed.
