The Effectors Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is currently hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ location on the Javelin program. SE&TC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and partner with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers.
The Senior Systems Engineer is a technical role contributing across the Javelin Portfolio of products and offers experiential growth across the entire systems engineering lifecycle. This is an Onsite role located in Tucson, AZ. Periodic travel may be expected depending on the given task assignment.
What You Will Do:
Lead technical discussions, and formulate plans of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines
Manage Javelin System requirements and verification evidence to include requirements change control and delta qualification tests
Work within a close-knit team of fellow systems engineers and collaborate cross functionally with other engineering disciplines to effect efficient and lasting solutions to problems
Consult with program Lead Systems Engineer and Test Architect to ensure system requirements are adequately reflected in Verification Cross Reference Matrices and verification evidence supports the system requirements as written
Communicate with customers, internal and external, the status of work products; influence decision making toward the ‘best value’ for the program and its customers
Prepare and submit contract data items in accordance with documentation standards flowed via contracts
Demonstrate the spirit of The Doctrine of Completed Staff Work while maintaining Raytheon’s values of collaboration and agility
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. We should not be using this on Engineering reqs. or, an advanced degree in related a related field with minimum 3 years relevant experience
Must have experience with test plan development and requirements verification
Must have experience with development and production/sustainment programs
Must have experience in EO sensing systems and fundamental missile archite
