About the Role:

The Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Engineer II performs tasks related to engineering technologists and technicians. You will focus on managing projects and processes, contributing to Takeda's mission by ensuring efficient maintenance operations and equipment reliability.

How you will Contribute:

• Plan and oversee corrective, preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance activities, including calibrations.
• Develop scope of work, coordinate manufacturing windows, resource allocation, and spare parts management.
• Organize maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Share maintenance schedules with supervisors and ensure adherence.
• Optimize planned activities to reduce manufacturing window times and streamline processes.
• Standardize repetitive jobs, estimate timelines, track job histories, and manage crew backlogs.
• Create and maintain a one-year maintenance calendar (PMs and CALs) and conduct weekly planning meetings.
• Coordinate and manage planned shutdown activities, improving kitting processes while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Meet mandatory training requirements (e.g., EHS, GMP) and foster professional communication and conduct.
• Engage in ongoing performance reviews and address workplace concerns through appropriate channels.

What you bring to Takeda:

• Associate degree (preferred) or 5 years' experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical/Maintenance.
• 6+ years of experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical/Maintenance.
• 6+ years of experience in the planner position.
• Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing.
• Experience with computer applications (Word, Excel, JDE, RAM and Scada systems) for the purposes of training, performance management, and self-service applications. Ability to navigate electronic mail systems and intranet for communication purposes.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

• Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
• Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
• Work in a cold, wet environment.
• Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours.
• Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
