What is the Role
We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive innovation in our cases and escalation workflows and help us paint the future landscape of security and observability operations. Join our Elastic Security team and orchestrate the development of ground breaking solutions that empower organizations to gain AI-powered insights while they collect, collaborate on, and share the results and artifacts of their investigations.
This person will own the vision for Elastic escalation workflows, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs. Define and prioritize innovative product features based on customer requirements through collaboration with cross-functional and cross-solution teams. Drive product differentiation by conducting detailed market analysis and customer interviews to identify key opportunities. Develop comprehensive product and user requirements to guide development. Build and maintain a balanced product roadmap that integrates innovation with timely customer delivery. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies. Engage customers and industry analysts to capture valuable insights and validate product concepts. Serve as a subject matter authority and product evangelist through compelling presentations and thought leadership initiatives.
What you will be doing:
- Leading cross-functional teams (engineering, design, documentation, marketing)
- Communicating sophisticated technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Addressing customer engagements
- Security operations workflows, incident response, and SOC analyst personas
- SIEM architectures, log management, and security analytics
- Observability pillars - metrics, logs, and traces
- Observability platforms (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)
- Software development in an open-source environment (Git knowledge is a plus)
- Natural language processing, conversational AI, and query interfaces
What you Bring:
- 5-8 years of product management experience
- 2+ years specifically in SIEM, SOAR, observability, or incident response platforms
- Experience with workflow automation and case management systems
- Track record of improving operational efficiency through product improvements
- A deep curiosity about IT and security operations and their evolving challenges.
- A meticulous attention to detail, coupled with an appreciation for the broader picture.
- Outstanding communication skills, embodying a team-oriented approach.
- A BS/MS degree in engineering, computer science, information security
Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.
These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
