Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a remote position.
The Cloud Engineer will be supporting an ambitious endeavor to reimagine how our customer, Naval Sea Systems, provides AWS cloud services to its customers. This includes deploying AWS services in a modern, fully automated manner.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting compute assets in AWS and Azure
Composing new Terraform code and/or editing existing code for the deployment of AWS resources
Taking an automation-first approach to the administration and configuration management of resources deployed in AWS GovCloud
Administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Windows Server instances and their AMI lifecycle
Participating in Agile ceremonies as a member of a highly functioning Agile engineering team
Creating, maintaining, and updating relevant system documentation as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related STEM discipline OR a High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience completing tasking relevant to cloud engineering
2+ years of relevant experience completing tasking relevant to cloud engineering
Must have an entry-level cloud computing certification (i.e. AWS CCP, Microsoft AZ-900)
Must obtain a DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
Experience in RHEL OS and/or Windows Server with knowledge in maintaining them
Ability to script in one or more of the following computer languages: Python, Bash, or Perl
Familiarity with identity solutions that implement SAML/SSO that leverage a CAC
Preferred Qualifications:
One AWS or Microsoft Associate-level certification
1+ years of Terraform experience
Experience working with GitHub or similar system and Git
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
