This position reports to the Supervisor, E&I withing the Maintenance Execution Group. This position is a part of the Augusta Site’s E&I Team supporting safe and efficient execution of instrument and electrical PM and corrective work activities throughout the site. This will include routine and outage related work. The incumbent will not only be capable of perform this work but will also be able to coach and mentor peers within the E&I group. This position is located in Augusta, GA and is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
- Support the timely execution of PM/PdM activities including documentation of finding, work performed, and follow up work if needed
- Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument loops, operation, components, and of the electrical and mechanical principles involved in testing, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration
- Maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation devices, electrical power distribution and monitoring devices, VFD drives and motor control
- Manage and maintain instrument calibration documentation, Oracle EAM, and Procal database
- Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure
- Utilizes the Oracle EAM ERP system to access asset information including, asset attributes, history, Bill of Materials, and standard job plans
- Support cataloging materials and services
- Support validation and refinement of asset bill of materials, standard job plans, and PM activities
- Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and supporting activities and documentation
- Orders unplanned materials from the Warehouse and verifies the availability via the ERP system
- Provide work execution feedback and post job reviews of actual work performed and materials used compared to plan and provides feedback to planning
- Able to coach and mentor peers on Instrument and electrical codes and leading practices
What you will bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Technical degree in Instrumentation and Electrical preferred
- 7+ years of Instrumentation or Electrical experience required
- A commitment to Safety and Environmental leading practices and culture
- A commitment to continuous improvement
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and required overtime, particularly during turnarounds and unit down times
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, safely lift up to 50lbs, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working in an industrial atmosphere with fumes, temperature extremes, loud noise, vibration, dust, etc
