Job Description

We are looking for our next Senior iOS mobile developer to join the Order Experience team that is responsible for the end-to-end user experience from the moment users choose the items they want to order all the way through to get them to confirm the purchase on the app and website. Some of the key focus areas will of the team are basket management, cart review, checkout experience and group order. The team is a cross-functional team of Frontend, Backend, iOS, Android, Data Analyst and a Product Lead. Their mission is to offer Wolt grade order experience on our platform; helping consumers to order in a fast, easy and collaborative way while providing a customized experience as per different product lines.

As an iOS Developer at Wolt, you’ll be working on improving and modifying the very app that millions of people in over 20 countries around the world see when ordering food and other products in Wolt. Our app is top-rated and we place a high value on an awesome end-user experience as well as a cutting-edge UI.

This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki, Stockholm or Berlin,or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, and Estonia. Read more about our remote setup here. 🌍

Qualifications

In order to succeed in the role, you’ll need strong experience in building iOS apps using modern technologies and brand-new iOS platform features. Our codebase is predominantly in Swift, so you should feel at home with the language, preferably you should also be familiar with SwiftUI and some of the other latest features of the language.

Quality is something we strive for in every aspect of app development from the user interface to having a maintainable architecture and source code, so experience with testing processes is expected. Implementing automated unit & UI testing and collaborating with our excellent QA engineers to prevent regressions will be part of your daily work.

You should also have excellent communication skills and, ideally, have some experience working in a large multi-team development environment. Knowledge sharing is a big part of our culture so you should enjoy participating in regular meetups to learn from others and share your own experiences.
