Role Summary
This position is for a new greenfield launch in Lawrenceburg, TN. The Senior Finance Specialist position is accountable for the ongoing budgeting and forecasting process, monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting in HFM, margin analysis and reporting to Cosma management. The Senior Finance Specialist must also construct and monitor key performance indicators related to budget and forecasting processes to provide an appropriate level of financial information to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Business Plan and financial Forecast with MST management to record and improve financial performance of the division.
- Implement key indicators to determine relevance to business plan and financial forecast.
- Analyze capital spending vs budgeted and forecasted spending.
- Actively support the implementation and tracking of all cost reduction programs.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reporting requirements, trends and forecasting in production environment.
- Monthly Hyperion reporting.
- Communicate with Management, Production, Engineering, and Quality regarding financial concerns.
- Support the annual examination with internal and/or external Auditors.
- Help prepare annual Controller’s Model file.
- Applies accounting expertise to ensure financial records & statements are in accordance with GAAP and Magna Finance Policy.
- Maintain compliance with Mafact guidelines related to Finance.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
EDUCATION:
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or similar courses is required.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of (8) years professional experience in Financial Planning, Financial Reporting, or general accounting experience including Budgeting, Forecasting and managerial financial reporting.

KNOWLEDGE:
- Solid knowledge of financial planning development, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Oracle HFM knowledge is a must.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications.
- Effective in written and verbal communications, proven skills in interacting with others.
- Possess analytical skills.
