BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

To assist in the control and maintenance of all engineering documentation while creating and maintaining the Bill of Material (BOM) required to operate the business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development of new program BOM and budget projections.
  • Participate in the review process of all Engineering drawings and BOM(s) to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist the Production teams with day to day activities as needed.
  • Work with Production in the development and maintenance of BOM(s) and process sheets and other documentation.
  • Weekly maintenance of monthly roll-forward report-outs on BOM cost changes.
  • Assist with implementation of all ECN's.
  • Work with sales and purchasing, to ensure bom accuracy of incoming / outgoing parts.
  • Ensure interdepartmental communication.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and 5S activities.
  • Maintain option hours in OBMS for all Tellico models
  • Maintain BOM kits for all Tellico models
  • Create new OBMS part numbers for all Sea Ray facilities and functions
  • Verify all required documentation is in place for each affected print in ECR before final processing within ECMS database.
  • Processing of all ECR’s in ECMS database to include downloading, and uploading red lines, and newly drawn prints into the print library
  • Control and maintenance of print library, while keeping revision levels / history intact and accurate for all plants.
  • Create and maintain weekly ECMS status reports.
  • Weekly assigning and routing of incoming ecr’s within ECMS database for all plants.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years performing data entry and bill of materials management preferred
  • High level understanding of ECMS database and print library systems is required.
  • IBM OBMS program experience preferred.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual that requires minimal daily direction to complete assigned duties of the position.
  • Associates Degree or relevant experience in CAD Drafting, Engineering, or equivalent field preferred
  • Working understanding of fiberglass lamination, mechanical, and carpentry assemblies preferred.
  • Working understanding of mechanical sub-assemblies, fastener types, and materials preferred.
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of PC based software for e-mail, MS (word, excel, etc.).
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Self-starter a must.
  • Boating experience a plus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
