Position Summary:

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planner to support and drive our Materials Planning and SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) processes. In this key role, you'll help ensure seamless material flow, accurate demand forecasting, and on-time delivery—keeping production on track and customers satisfied. Working under general supervision, you'll contribute to data-driven planning, support strategic decision-making, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve shortages and optimize supply chain performance.

What you will do:

  • Support the execution of Materials Planning and SIOP activities to align supply with customer demand.

  • Create and manage part-level plans, including maintaining master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, and end items.

  • Analyze material availability and capacity constraints; escalate risks and drive resolution of long-term gaps.

  • Continuously manage and validate the master demand schedule to ensure accurate visibility for production, financial planning, and capacity management.

  • Monitor and coordinate transportation, inter/intraplant deliveries, and work-in-process (WIP) flow.

  • Expedite orders and mitigate shortages to support on-time delivery and production continuity.

  • Develop reports and dashboards to support planning decisions and track KPIs.

  • Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to process improvements.


Qualifications we prefer:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or shop floor environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong Excel skills preferred.

  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and departments.

Qualifications you must have:

This position requires an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.  In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
