Job Summary:

This job is a functional expert who leads complex projects requiring an understanding of current business trends. They identify and resolve intricate problems within business processes to drive global improvements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational effectiveness and developing methods for new assignments to align with organizational goals. This job acts as a subject matter expert, guiding teams in process improvement initiatives.

We are seeking a Program Lead for the Finance Data Universe (FDU) who will drive strategy, roadmap development, and execution across all Finance functions, including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Controllership.

This role ensures FDU becomes a unified, scalable, and well-understood platform that supports planning, reporting, compliance, forecasting, and financial decision-making across PayPal.

The ideal candidate brings structure to complexity, clarity to ambiguity, and coordination cross functionally.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive end-to-end process maps.
• Identify and resolve complex problems within business processes to drive global improvements.
• Develop detailed business requirements.
• Manage and oversee user acceptance testing.
• Act as a subject matter expert to guide teams in process improvement initiatives.
• Establish and implement best practices for the function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Develop and track key performance metrics.
• Document and standardize processes.

Expected Qualifications:

• 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Required

• 8+ years of program management or finance systems experience in FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, or related fields.

• Strong ability to drive strategy-to-execution for large, cross-functional programs.

• Skilled in building business requirements, process maps, and operating frameworks.

• Experience with UAT, testing cycles, and multi-stakeholder delivery.

Preferred

• Understanding of financial close, regulatory reporting, planning cycles, tax processes, treasury operations, and FP&A analytics.
