Mainline Information Systems is looking for a Pre-Sales Security Architect. This is a remote / home office position and may require travel up to 25% of the time with some overnight travel expected.
The role of the Security Architect is to provide architectural and complex solution advice and support that enables a customer to confidently accelerate security technology decisions. This guidance will help the customer maximize their IT investment and view Mainline as their primary security technology solution partner.

The Position
The Security Architect serves as a trusted advisor to Mainline Account Executives and customers for all Security related pre-sales activities. This includes developing Security Solutions in terms of architecture, design, and requirements at the hardware, software, and services levels. Security Architects must have strong technical acumen complimented by relationship and selling skills. Security Architects will work with Account Executives, Product Systems Engineers and Mainline partners to architect, design, configure, present and propose these solutions. The results expected from a Security Architect's involvement include the building of Mainline loyalty, increased business, strategic and innovative usage of market leading technologies, and higher customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to expand existing business and develop new accounts, providing security thought leadership and technical expertise.
- Build and maintain deep technical relationships with customers and partners, serving as a trusted advisor in cybersecurity matters.
- Lead end-to-end design and deployment of cybersecurity solutions within the Mainline security portfolio.
- Collaborate with existing Mainline field sales, presales, and partners to execute global security strategies at a regional level, contributing to demand generation and pipeline growth.
- Understand current cybersecurity challenges, including regulatory, operational, and architectural issues, and apply frameworks to improve customer security posture.
- Guide clients through security technology decisions, advising CSOs/CISOs on compliance, governance, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver impactful security solution presentations to C-level executives and facilitate technical discussions to drive decision-making.
- Represent partner and internal cybersecurity viewpoints to customers, integrating multiple solutions and services into customized architectures.
- Mentor team members while also learning from the greater architect community to craft comprehensive security solutions involving servers, storage, software, networks, and cloud services.
- Provide professional contributions to the cybersecurity field through publications, technical articles, and feedback to key solution partners.
- Ensure solution consistency and quality by collaborating across architect teams to embed security in multi-vendor environments.
- Lead security technologies requirements gathering, use case identification, and proof-of-concept evaluations to meet customer needs.
- Participate in the development and execution of security go-to-market strategies, supporting global and regional business initiatives.
