We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with extensive knowledge of ISO 20022 standards. In this key hands-on role, you will be responsible for analysing and implementing ISO 20022 standards across our product lines on a fixed-term contract. Utilising strong business analysis skills, you will write, manage, and close user stories while effectively communicating the upcoming ISO 20022 standards to the relevant teams in the required format.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyse business processes to define effective business requirements and solutions that consistently align with business strategies and objectives
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, such as Release Planning, Refinement, Planning, 3 Amigos, and Stand-up
  • Refine User Stories and communicate requirements to different audiences.
  • Ensure all requirements are clearly captured and understood through effective communication, coordination, and documentation
  • Work with banking systems, business operations, and transactional environments, with an understanding of payments and settlements
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, other Business Analysts, Testers, and Developers to implement changes based on stakeholder needs
  • Support the prioritization of initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Perform solution evaluation, pilot testing, and post-implementation phases to ensure the solutions meet quality standards and are fit for purpose
  • This role offers the opportunity to help shape the future of our banking platform, supporting Commonwealth agencies, international clients, and industry payment partners as part of an integral function within our iconic Australian institution

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with a Scrum team in an Agile framework. Your expertise in ISO 20022 message formats, critical thinking, and business analysis will help you interpret business requirements, write and close user stories, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience with Agile methodology frameworks, transactional banking, and payments is essential, and having an IIBA Certification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
