We are looking for a Senior Process Improvement Engineer. The Process Improvement Engineer will be responsible for evaluating, implementing and improving processes across the organization to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality. They will work closely with various departments to identify inefficiencies, recommend and implement solutions, and monitor the effectiveness of these changes
Key Responsibilities:
Product Failure and Quality Defect Analysis:
- Lead investigation and manage Product Complaints, Collaborate with Quality Control Team and Customer Support Team to get details on: Purchase Order Numbers (PO), Customer Numbers, Product Details, and Point of Failure reported as per' the team.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis, why analysis to find the point of failure in Manufacturing Process, lead and handle cross functional team meeting based on the outcomes of the investigations.
- Plan PDCA Cycle to mitigate the cause and control of the product.
- If the product quality is compromised because of raw material, get involved with the procurement team and plan with the supplier to mitigate the cause of the failure.
Process Improvement:
- Support efforts to meet manufacturing planning schedule requirements by improving existing facilities layout, equipment/tool utilization, engineering processes/procedures, assembly methods, and material flow.
- Review and improve manufacturing standard operating procedures; maintain and audit system for long term viability; and work on new standards and define SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in affected perimeter.
- Utilize Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other related CIP frameworks and Clickup to drive process improvement; participate in the development of new or improved products; and plan to reduce MUDA from the process.
- Identify and introduce new engineering concepts and available technologies leading to improving operation performance.
- Collaborate with Quality Control (QC), Production Scheduling, Estimating, Purchasing, Operations and Human Resources (HR) regarding all-important projects, which impact existing systems for which they are accountable.
- Perform Cost analysis (CA) on product from engineering perspective and develop plans on cost savings. Also perform analysis on inventory control and generate ideas to improve the Process.
- Identify other cost reductions and resource efficiency opportunities. Own the development of these ideas and monitoring of these for the site.
- Plan for Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to generate material flow for Assembly line to optimize the cost reduction in the department.
- Work with cross Functional team to Develop Production Management System (PMS), perform Analysis, propose request for the system to optimize the Process in Production.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Seeing and creating opportunities through creative thinking, balancing innovation, and operational effectiveness, learning from failure, anticipating, and overcoming likely barriers and collaborating to create shared value.
- Perform Design Analysis and perform DFMEA for the product designs. Based on the results from analysis, propose engineering design changes in raw materials and work with supplier company's engineers and perform Engineering Change (ECN) to optimize the Production process and the quality of the product.
- Utilize 3D CAD Software like AutoCAD 3D, Inventor to design and draft products, utilize 3D Modelling and create Jigs that can be used for Production optimization and reduce human error from the process.
- Self-starter with the ability to create/standardize processes if one does not exist.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and escalate trends.
- Contribute towards achieving a safer work environment by incorporating ergonomic engineering concepts into recommended changes.
