Automation Support
The Automation Support role is responsible for ensuring the effective operation and integration of automation technology within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This position provides day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting of automation processes to maintain workflow efficiency and minimize disruptions. The role also supports issue identification, continuous improvement initiatives, and projects that enhance automation performance and warehouse productivity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research product and automation issues within the WMS and escalate as necessary.
- Monitor daily workflow of robotic automation to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Identify and report process constraints between human and robot interactions that may impact productivity.
- Liaise with Operations and Maintenance teams to sequence interventions without disrupting flow.
- Maintain accurate log of downtime incidents, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in automation performance, workflow design, and process efficiency.
- Assist in special projects related to robotics, automation, or operational enhancements.
- Train teammates in automation interactive roles.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support the success of the operation.
General Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months experience in troubleshooting automation, inventory issues, or WMS systems logic.
- Related experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment preferred.
- Strong WMS and inventory management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service driven.
- Strong collaboration across functional departments.
