Position Overview:
- Facilitates staff education on restraint and seclusion, Level of Observation, TIC and Handle with care.
- Captures, analyzes and shares STCF data such as admissions, discharges, and length of stay. Presents systems issues with referrals, transportation, patient cases during SRC meetings.
- Assists in the development, timely updates and maintenance of educational material.
- Acts as a resource person for the staff, new hires and the unit.
- Updates policies, affiliation agreements, and STCF inspection preparation and STCF checklist.
- Develops and implements education programs according to the needs of the staff and policy/practice changes.
- Participates in the evaluation of performance improvement and regulatory requirements.
- Collects and analyzes patient satisfaction data.
- Assists with annual competencies and staff development.
- Attends and participates in daily team report.
- Attends and participates in state, facility and out of county Systems Review Committee meeting.
- Collects, analyzes and disseminates NDNQI restraints/seclusion and assault data.
- Develops post STCF inspection action plan/remediation plans when warranted.
- Chairs the practice council meeting and develop solutions to unfolding issues.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Continuous physical demands include: Talk or Hear
Lifting Floor to Waist 25 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 10 lbs.
Sensory Requirements include: Very Accurate 20/40, Near Vision, Accurate Far Vision, Color Discrimination, Moderate Depth Perception, Accurate Hearing
Anticipated Occupational Exposure Risks Include the following: Bloodborne Pathogens , Chemical , Airborne Communicable Disease , Dust/Particulate Matter
