Seasonal Part-Time Sales Associate (UT)

Position Duration: July 1st through September 30th
 

Summary

As a Seasonal Part-Time Sales Associate at Bertrand’s Music, you will help families and students begin or continue their musical journey by providing excellent service and expert support during our busiest time of the year. This role is essential to helping customers find the right rental instruments, accessories, and guidance for the school year ahead.

Qualifications

• Passion for music and familiarity with Band & Orchestra instruments
• Ability to communicate clearly and positively with customers and coworkers
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including during school events and evenings
• Team-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Must be available to attend onboarding
• Must be available to work part-time or full-time through September 30th

Requirements

• Availability to work 15–20 hours per week in July, with option to increase up to 40 hours per week in August/September
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude
• Ability to follow through with assigned tasks and prioritize under pressure
• Basic familiarity with accounting and POS/cash register systems
• Willingness to learn and uphold Bertrand’s Music’s values and standards
• Mandatory onboarding attendance
• Part-time or full-time availability through September 30th

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with warmth and enthusiasm
• Provide excellent product knowledge and service for Band & Orchestra rentals and accessories
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked merchandise displays
• Accurately process sales, rentals, and returns using our POS system
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth in-store experience for customers
• Support off-site events as needed, including school nights and weekend promotions
• Help educate customers about instrument care, product options, and rental processes
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and store presentation
• Contribute to a positive, music-loving environment every day
