Sr Director - Cloud Infrastructure

The Senior Director – Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for leading the cloud infrastructure and automation IT teams within IT Infrastructure that support a broadening portfolio of cloud solutions and technologies, with an initial emphasis on Azure and M365. 
The role is responsible for the delivery of cloud related infrastructure and automation solutions used to enable business capabilities and services across the enterprise with an emphasis on accelerating cloud solution delivery speed and quality through technical expertise, technical leadership, and communicating best practices within the IT organization. The Senior Director – Cloud Infrastructure will be a key contact point across a large cloud technology portfolio for sharing and engaging with software developers to foster learning and adoption of modern technologies.
The Senior Director – Cloud Infrastructure role brings knowledge and future vision for IT cloud infrastructure functions including strategy, service offerings and organizational development. It also serves as a stakeholder for several external IT vendor partnerships and sourced infrastructure and operations capabilities. 

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentor senior and junior engineers to build a high functioning cloud engineering and services organization that delivers quality, secure services that accomplish core team objectives:
• oPartner with all areas of IT to provide an iterative transformation of infrastructure automation capabilities; ensure appropriate teams across the org understand current Azure capabilities and roadmap; bridge gaps between various individuals, teams, and product stakeholders; develop skillsets needed to mature Enterprise use of Azure cloud services that will support strategic goals and agile delivery models.
• oEnsure areas of automation practices (Infrastructure as Code tooling and methods) are being appropriately matured as capabilities and practices are introduced into the organization. Areas include security, governance, compliance, provisioning, operations, and cost management.
• oAdvance O365 technology adoption and provide 3rd level support to address various technical challenges. 
• oDevelop new techniques and processes to implement cloud-like capabilities on-prem, using modern techniques and Devops principles. Provide expert level partnership with application teams and prod control groups to advance enterprise solutions.
• oServe as PL Cloud Infrastructure liaison, collaborating with Dai-ichi partner companies to foster success in cloud technology use across the global company portfolio.
• This role will lead solution design, oversee management of cloud cost tracking and forecasting, implementation of proof-of-concepts, standardize solutions, and develop operational hand-off of solutions.
• Ensure critical operational SOPs are maintained, and updated as necessary to adapt to technology solutions as they are introduced to the environment 
• Develop core policies as needed for infrastructure cloud technology disciplines and foster adoption across IT teams 
• Routinely prepare executive level success updates, strategic vision and roadmap presentations for senior IT leadership
