Where you'll work:

Our Rothschild, WI location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition division and is responsible for our biopharmaceutical needs for Kerry customers and brands. This site is one of two that works with specialized lactose protein within the Kerry organization! People may not realize we're more than just great taste when it comes to food and beverage products - we truly are committed to nutrition and sciences as well!

*** Must live with 30 minutes of the facility

25.82/hr + .65 cents Shift Diff

Second shift 2PM – 10PM M-F

On Call Rotation

About the Role:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor with the assistance of the Maintenance Planner and/or the Shift Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will safely and efficiently maintain facility equipment, buildings and mechanical systems while in compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

What you'll do:

• The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.

• Independently performs Preventive maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Planner per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.

• Log all work performed on maintenance work orders, repairs work orders, and new equipment installations, along with hours worked on each work order in the CMMS program per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.

• Provide technical assistance and guidance to all levels of production to minimize production interruptions and downtime.

• Follow and comply with all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices rules and regulations.

• Maintain departmental housekeeping and plant sanitation at a level that meets or exceeds Kerry and regulatory standards.

• Complete all repairs and installations with the Safety, Health and welfare of all employees and customers in mind.

• Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in troubleshooting.

• Active participation on Predictive maintenance, Continuous Improvement of the Process and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Teams.

• Work with outside contractors to ensure the equipment repairs and preventive maintenance is completed correctly and good communication between contractor’s and Kerry facility.

What you'll need to be successful and safe:

  • High School or equivalent Experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance in manufacturing are required
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills are required
  • Food or Beverage experience highly preferred
  • Basic electrical skills, including:
    • Ability to unwire/wire 3-phase electrical motor, and test rotation
    • Ability to read, understand, and explain electrical one-line diagrams
  • Repairing and/or replacing pumps, motors, filters, pipes
  • Cutting and grinding along with the operations of a wide range of powered shop tools required
  • Welding experience highly preferred

On Call - Must be available for emergency call-in to perform equipment and system repairs on a rotating basis per established procedures to insure equal distribution of call-in responsibilities
