Your role:
The Head of EHS is responsible for the Environmental, Health, and Safety program at all applicable sites. Responsible for supporting automation advancement to mitigate ergonomic risks at applicable sites. Supervises EHS Technicians, is accountable for the successful maintenance of our ISO certifications, has frequent interactions with Operations and R&D, and acts as a role model for cultural behaviors under the direction of the Head of Operations for the Temecula, CA location.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- 5+ years experience with ISO14001, ISO45001, environmental regulations, chemical safety, ergonomics, Bloodborne Pathogens and biosafety practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing and Life Science industry experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of Quality processes, requirements, and objectives
- Understanding of Operational Excellence Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of state of CA environment, health, safety regulations and requirements (Cal OSHA, DTSC, SCAQMD, CUPA)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others to act
- Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to present material in a clear, concise manner, appropriate to the level of the audience
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple and/or large teams, including technical and non-technical personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects, interact with multiple teams, and excellent time management skills
- Demonstrate the understand of Process Safety Management principles
- Ability to develop solutions to complex problems with ingenuity and innovation
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside contacts
- Ability to travel to accomplish the duties of the position; possible overnight stays required
