SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Seeking a detailed oriented who will demonstrate solid knowledge of real estate proceedings and experience in a similar role. An outstanding real estate paralegal will be someone whose expertise contributes to the timely finalization of real estate transactions while serving our parent company Dream Finders Homes, Inc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support attorneys working on wide range of commercial and residential real estate matters.
- Examine and clear requirements on title commitments and lender closing instructions for compliance status.
- Assist with drafting and preparation of closing statements, disclosures and other required instruments.
- Issue title commitments, policies, and endorsements.
- Research public filings.
- Oversee and coordinate closing and post-closing matters.
- Any ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
- Time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent spelling and language comprehension.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks.
- Initiate work/self- learning/development.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
- Knowledge of SoftPro a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies.
