Position Responsibilities

The Associate Director will support and manage the responsible investing program within a lean and highly impactful team that works across all departments at Golub Capital

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the responsible investing program, ensuring its effectiveness and adherence across the Firm
  • Leading core team activities such as:
  • Drafting responsible investing policies and procedures
  • Overseeing processes that support responsible investing practices across the investment lifecycle including diligence, monitoring and data collection
  • Developing materials and messaging to be used by the Investor Partners Group to communicate about the responsible investing program
  • Supporting the Investor Partners Group to address responsible investing-related investor requests including crafting due diligence content and preparing investor reporting
  • Providing subject matter expertise to support the Solutions Team with development of products and customized client solutions
  • Managing existing outside vendor relationships and developing network of external subject matter experts
  • Monitoring the responsible investing legal and regulatory landscape and assessing potential impacts to the Firm
  • Supporting climate initiatives at both the Firm and fund levels, including carbon footprint measurements and related disclosures, and developing the Firm’s approach to other climate-risk topics
  • Establishing relationships with subject matter experts across a range of investment and operational functions within the Firm
  • Staying abreast of responsible investing industry trends and generating ideas for continuous improvement
  • Special projects as required

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience at a premier alternative asset management firm, consulting firm or law firm with related expertise
  • Strong writing skills and ability to craft a narrative for investor consumption
  • Demonstrable critical thinking skills and palpable intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and rapport with other teams within the Firm
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail in written documents, presentations and analyses
  • Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture

Compensation and Benefits

For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $220,000 to $265,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program)
