What You Will Do:

• Raytheon currently has an exciting IT systems administrator position available that supports the Raytheon mission of making the world a safer place. We are seeking an experienced Windows/Linux System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi–disciplined environment. The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data.

• The candidate will be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support.

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment. 

• Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.  Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.

• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. 

• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

• Full time 100% Onsite position.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically, Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience.

• Must have an active Secret US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies:  Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Backup Exec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

• Scripting/ automation PowerShell, Bash

• Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification. 

• Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.

• In-depth working experience in Windows Server

• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.

• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange
