What You Will Do:
Raytheon currently has an exciting IT systems administrator position available that supports the Raytheon mission of making the world a safer place. We are seeking an experienced Windows/Linux System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi–disciplined environment. The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data.
The candidate will be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support.
Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
Full time 100% Onsite position.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically, Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Must have an active Secret US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Backup Exec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
Scripting/ automation PowerShell, Bash
Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
In-depth working experience in Windows Server
Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange
