Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the DevOps and Cloud Governance initiatives at the client, contributing to their modernization journey by implementing and managing various tools and processes on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead projects across application teams to ensure alignment with standard methodologies for cloud infrastructure and configuration on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)!
  • Collaborate with architecture teams in discussions and decision-making related to cloud architecture and design, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, and SonarQube to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Collaborate with development teams to onboard applications onto the GCP, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.
  • Implement and manage comprehensive cloud governance strategies, including InsightCloudSec, Cost Governance, Compute Governance, and overall Cloud Governance for the Enterprise.
  • Continuously supervise and optimize the performance, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure and applications.

Required Skills

  • Significant knowledge and experience in Kubernetes, IaaS via Terraform/Ansible, and automation!
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Jenkins, Nexus Repository, and SonarQube.
  • Experience with Cloud Governance practices, including Cost, Compute, Security, and relevant tools..
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Groovy, and Bash.
  • Continuously learning approach, staying updated with the latest advancements and current practices in DevOps, cloud technologies, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Networking and Cloud IAM concepts.
