POSITION OBJECTIVE: Coordinates all security department actions while keeping a detailed record
of events. While acting as a Security Officer I, provide excellent service to casino guests while
ensuring the safety of casino assets and Team Members.

JOB SUMMARY: Acts in the capacity as a dispatcher of Security Officers or telephone switchboard
operator. Prioritizes all calls received, and then dispatches Security Officers to provide assistance
for all calls for service at the Nisqually Red Wind Casino. While acting as a Security Officer 1,
Observe and report all activities, incidents or safety hazards to ensure protection of company
assets and safety of guests and Team Members. Respond to emergency situations as they arise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
As a Dispatcher:
- Ability to control personal emotional responses under high levels of stress.
- Accomplish specific assignments, understand and comply with detailed verbal and written instructions.
- Dispatchers must maintain a log of all persons who, for any reason, are banned or self- excluded from the property. Coordinate with the Nisqually Tribal Gaming Agency to respond to and promptly address any person trespassing on property.
- During emergencies, Dispatchers must also be able to take accurate notes through a manual call log sheet when computerized systems are not functioning.
- Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards, and deliver excellent guest service in person, on the phone, through correspondence.
- Maintains an accurate computerized log through the security department's CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) system of all department activity.
- Maintains working knowledge of casino rules, policies, activities and/or promotions in order to assist with guest inquiries.
- Monitor panic, access control, and emergency phone systems for alarms and malfunctions, investigate and escalate unusual incidents.
- Monitor surveillance systems frequently to detect and report any unusual events to a Security Supervisor.
- Monitor the electronic key tracking system for alarms involving all company owned keys, investigate and confirm the location/accountability of keys and notify Nisqually Tribal Gaming and casino leadership immediately.
- Must remain calm and communicate effectively with confused, upset, hostile, or distraught people by phone, while gathering the information necessary to send the correct responders and equipment to the scene. Dispatchers may hear and need to respond to graphic descriptions of violence and/or injury.
- Observe and report incidents, procedure violations, or criminal activities as they occur, and complete detailed incident reports.
- Operates various communication equipment to dispatch security personnel to calls for service, critical incidents and emergencies. Identifies locations where assistance is needed, makes rapid determinations as to availability and proximity of the nearest personnel and equipment, and coordinates interagency and interdepartmental notifications of incidents.
