The Director of Facilities is responsible for supervising, monitoring, and coordinating Facilities Maintenance, and Repair activities at all casino and hotel locations to ensure a safe, operational, clean, and appealing environment for employees and guests in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies. Must be able to work safely and effectively alone or with others.
Work schedule will include weekends and nights. Work schedule will be adjusted to accommodate business demands.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise staff in accordance with company policy and procedure to enhance productivity
- Maintenance and repair of all casino facilities open and closed
- Process and prioritize work orders, invoices, and files Accounts payable, facilities and payroll.
- Create a healthy environment by keeping casinos safe and clean maintaining curb appeal so that guests will view casino as welcoming and fun
- Schedule work and perform minor renovations and remodels
- Communicate with corporate staff regarding major expenditures within the casinos
- Assist casino staff in maintaining their facilities
- Communicate and follow-up with state agencies to ensure compliance with state agency code, fixing any violations found.
- Keep casinos functional and operational at all times including answering after hours and all emergency calls at any time.
- Purchase equipment and supplies needed for repairs
- Monitor all engineering equipment to ensure the safety and comfort of casino customers and employees.
- Ensure that daily work logs are accurate and current.
- Wear and maintain all uniforms properly.
- Follow security policies and procedures. Perform duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- Colorado Driver’s License and good driving record are required.
- A Colorado Limited Gaming Support License is preferred.
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions and communicate with employees and customers in English.
- Associates degree or Vocational Certificate and five years of Facilities, Maintenance and repair experience at journeyman level in plumbing, carpentry/cabinetry, electrical, roof repair, HVAC and refrigeration repair experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge and experience at application and usage of hand and power tools
- Three years of supervisory and management experience
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- 2-3 years’ experience preferable working in a commercial environment
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Knowledge and experience at application and usage of hand and power tools, stationary power tools and potentially hazardous chemicals cleaners, snow and ice removal equipment including pickup trucks, skid steer, forklift and man lift.
- Knowledgeable in hazardous material standards
