Optometrist

Community Medical & Dental Care is looking for a part-time Optometrist.

Optometrist Job Duties:

Examine eyes, using observation, instruments, and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities.
Remove foreign bodies from the eye.
Analyze test results and develop a treatment plan.
Prescribe, supply fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, Prism lenses, and eye Therapy. 
Prescribe medications to treat eye diseases as license permits.
Administer and manage vision therapy program.

Educate patients, family members, and others involved in the patient’s eye care

Optometrist Requirements:

Degree from an accredited school of Optometry
Active NYS license and DEA

Board Certified
Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus
