Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a talented, motivated Software Developer to produce and deploy an electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) data repository to archive relevant source data, technical and operational descriptions of EMS dependent systems, and an easy-to-use database portal linking the EMS data repository to authorized users. The database portal will be capable of querying, manipulating, and displaying data via geographic and spreadsheet-style formats and will support additional widget tools for EMS data rendering.
The position is in San Antonio, Texas on Lackland Air Force Base
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Decompose large portions of the database and portal designs into discrete components
- Sequence and schedule work on coding individual system components
- Write Javascript code to produce system component modules
- Test and integrate component modules into the database and portal architecture
- Provide client with weekly progress updates and draft monthly status report inputs
Minimum Qualifications
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
- Ability to write functional Javascript code
- Knowledge of and ability to produce SQL queries
- A Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with PostgreSQL database
- Experience integrating Javascript code and rendering data for display in ArcGIS
- Experience with cloud-based technology
